A fan-favorite of many clock enthusiasts across the world, this is Rhythm’s “Floral Fantasy” magic motion clock. It was released worldwide in 1993, 14 years before Seiko released their take on it, the QXM157BRH (QXM297BRH is its successor). Some would say that it’s one of the most interesting and captivating clocks that Rhythm has ever made…and it’s very hard to find, too. At the top of the hour or when the demonstration button is pressed, the plain, simplistic-looking clock transforms into a flower as six dial pieces slide out from within to reveal four dancing fairies beneath. The fairies gleam and sparkle as they each rotate and twirl in a circle as one of 6 fun melodies play in Rhythm’s graceful FM sound. Every magic motion clock is special, but there’s just something truly magical about this one. You must see it to truly believe it!
Notes: This clock is extremely rare and hard-to-find, especially in good working condition. I'm the only only owner of this clock, I got it new old stock many years ago. The plastic frame is still a glossy pink while others have yellowed overtime. That being said, there has been some yellowing on the backside of the clock. There are some small scratches underneath the dial from the fairies rotating, but this is very common for these models. It still works and sounds amazing! I’ve cleaned it from top to bottom and checked to ensure that all functions work properly. Please see the photos for a detailed look, and watch the video to witness the magic!
