Sylvie Mangaud, born in Paris in 1961, is a French artist who primarily works in depicting nudes and animals. After her studies in graphology and morphology, she quickly became passionate about the image and expression of the body. Her creations are light and rendered with finesse, capturing their elegance and natural movement. Her sculptures made for Daum out of crystal paste are sensitive and delicate.

Since 1878, Daum has created world renown art pieces out of their crystal studio in Nancy, France. Every crystal piece by Daum is signed with "Daum France" to signify its origin and quality.
