“Calliope Phonograph” is a distinctly-shaped Rhythm Karakuri clock from the mid-1990s. It is the rarer sister model to the “Belfry Tower Phonograph” magic motion wall clock. Similar to the “Belfry Tower,” this clock features a decorative disc in the middle of the clock face that rotates along with the calliope and its wheels as one of 6 popular melodies play in Rhythm’s classy FM sound. The intriguing modern-esque design of this model is complimented by colorful hands and a continuously rotating disc just beneath the dial.
Notes: This clock has been well-loved over the years, as shown by its scuffs and scratches. Please view the photos to see all of the damage…the price reflects the damage. I recently repaired the motor, replaced the demonstration button, and restored the disc movement. It has been tested over an extended period of time to ensure accuracy and reliability. It’s a hard-to-find and fragile model, so it will be shipped very cautiously. Watch the video to see it in action!
